Description
This is a rare circa late 1940s Type 2 inspector badge/wing from Colonial Airlines. Originally christened in 1928 as Canadian Colonial Airways, Colonial was renamed May 1, 1942 and operated through the 1950s, when it merged with Eastern.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1940s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 2-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch (swivel part of catch is missing).
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The badge shows only minor wear and some tarnish on the reverse only; pin is slightly bent and swivel part of catch is missing.
