Rare Late 1940s Colonial Airlines Type 2 Inspector Wing or Badge

This is a rare circa late 1940s Type 2 inspector badge/wing from Colonial Airlines. Originally christened in 1928 as Canadian Colonial Airways, Colonial was renamed May 1, 1942 and operated through the 1950s, when it merged with Eastern.

Circa late 1940s.

Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 2-1/2" in width.

Gilt brass, enamel.

Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch (swivel part of catch is missing).

7 (Very Fine): The badge shows only minor wear and some tarnish on the reverse only; pin is slightly bent and swivel part of catch is missing.
