This is a circa late 1940s pilot wing, 2nd issue for Colonial Airlines. Originally christened in 1928 as Canadian Colonial Airways, Colonial was renamed May 1, 1942 and operated through the 1950s, when it merged with Eastern. The wing shows a rather minimalist seagull or wing at center.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1940s.
SIZE:Approximately 11/16" in height by 3-1/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two screw posts with disc backings.
MARKINGS:STERLING on one backing.
