This is a rare, last type World War I American Field Service camion (transport) driver hat badge. The members of the American Field Service were volunteer ambulance drivers who rescued wounded soldiers in different overseas regions. This copper badge has a beautiful patina.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 1-5/16" in height and 2-13/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Patinated copper.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:None.
