ARTIFACT: This is a very rare circa early 1950s stewardess wing "1st issue" (it has the 2nd issue "shark mouth" logo) for the Flying Tiger Line, which began in 1945 as the first commercial air cargo company in the US and was later a military charter outfit until 1989. The wing is by Balfour in sterling silver.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 5/8" in height and 2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: LGB (Balfour mark) STERLING.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a domestic airline wing collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBJJX14 LFIEX2/14 SFJJX10/14

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The wing has some areas of medium wear and tarnish.
