This is a rare circa 1943 United States Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer hat badge. The badge has a riveted construction and is in wartime materials: plated white metal.

Circa 1943 (World War II).

Approximately 1-3/4" in height and 1-1/4" in width.

Plated white metal.

Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
