Ext. Rare, WWI US Coast Guard USCG CPO Hat Badge in Blackened Bronze

This is a Extremely Rare, World War I United State Coast Guard USCG CPO Hat Badge in Blackened  Bronze. Possibly Dating to the very beginning of the USCG, ca 1915, This is the only example of this badge Censtrueted & Finished like this that we've seen.

Circa WWI.

Approximately 1-3/4" i height x 1-1/16" in width

Blackend Brass.

Single screw post with disc backing.

8 (Excellent-) Badge shows moderate wear and much of the blackend brass details remain intact, overall it is in excellent condition.
