ARTIFACT: This is a Rare 1930's United States Coast & Geodetic Survey Chief Petty Officer Hat Badge by Meyer.

VINTAGE: 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/4" in height x 1-1/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold plated brass with Nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking catch.

MARKINGS: Meyer's maker mark on top of catch. (Image 3)

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Navy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. KGEM23 LCGEX09/02/23

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The badge shows minor to moderate wear. The center triangle on the disk was gold one time, but this bad has seen some wear and polishing and so most of that gilding is gone, but you can see a little bit of it through image 1.
