Description
This is a rare circa 1948-1949 jacket patch for the United States Navy 2nd VF-93 fighter squadron featuring Woody Woodpecker, who was officially approved as the group's insignia in January 194This squadron existed from August 1948 until November 1949 and was carrier-based, flying F8F Bearcats. We have matching decal for this patch listed separately.
VINTAGE:Circa 1948-1949.
SIZE:Approximately 5-5/8" in width and 5-3/4" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads, muslin backing.
