ARTIFACT: Rare circa 1948 – 1949 United States Air Force Headquarters Command (Bolling Field) shoulder patch. This short-lived example shows the Capitol Building in the center against a blue background and yellow and blue checked border and the reverse shows an old piece of tape with the patch's identification and reads: "e;HQ'S AIR FORCE COM'D."e;

VINTAGE: Circa 1948 – 1949

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/4" in diameter

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered, cotton/polyester/silk thread, tape, paper, ink

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a USAF collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAX16 LAGEX12/16

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The patch shows minor wear, old tape and paper identification on reverse, overall excellent condition.
