ARTIFACT: This is a Rare, Australian-made cap and insignia for the United States Army Transportation Service. The cap is in a camel color with a nice sheen and the insignia in a eagle bearing a nicely enameled crest.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Cap: approximate size 7-1/4 or 7-3/8; insignia: about 1-3/16" in height by 1-3/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cap: twill; insignia: gold-plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Insignia: horizontal pin with C catch.

MARKINGS: Cap: ROTHWELL'S BRISBANE; insignia: none.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBEX92 LAFEX9/11 SACJX1/15

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): Both the cap and the insignia show very little wear. The cap has a pen mark inside which may have been initials at one time, and some small areas of minor discoloration.
