ARTIFACT:

This is a rare lapel badge of the Belgian Air Force 5th Pursuit Squadron, 3rd Aviation Group. Badge is an eagle in profile encircled by a border that reads QUAERENS QUEM DEVORET (seeking someone to devour).

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s to World War II.

SIZE:

About 3/4" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel-plated brass with blue enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Over the lapel clip.

MARKINGS:

P. DEGREEF BRUXELLES 112 RUE DE MIDI.
