Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a rare badge for the 1333rd company of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) at Camp S-63 in Pennsylvania. The badge shows an owl in the forest with CCC on his breast and two crossed axes behind him. The badge reads 1333 and CAMP S-65 PA in an enamel banner at bottom.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s.

SIZE:

7/8" height and 1-1/8" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-plated brass with red enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Single-screw pin with disc backing.

MARKINGS:

Maker's mark of am apple with an A in the center.
