This is a rare early 1920s bullion pilot hat badge for Pitcairn Air Associates, the predecessor of Eastern Airlines. The badge reads PAA above a zeppelin's gondola.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1920s.
SIZE:About 1-11/16" in height and 2-15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool felt embroidered in gold bullion threads with treated backing.
