Description

ARTIFACT:

This is an extremely rare 1920s United Air Lines pilot hat badge. The badge reads UNITED AIR LINES and shows a map of the continental United States at center.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1920s.

SIZE:

13/16" height and 2" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-plated brass with blue, red and black enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Two single-screw pins with disc backings.

MARKINGS:

IRVINE & JACHENS S.F. on reverse of badge and THE VICTORY PATENTED on reverse of backings.
