ARTIFACT: Rare 1920's French squadron badge for the 4th Squadron of the 39th Observation Regiment, French Army of the Air. This beautiful, early badge is made of nickel plated brass. The unit traces its history back to the late WWI Squadron C575, a reconnaissance squadron formed in Palestine using the caudron aircraft.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920's.

SIZE: Approximately 1" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety style pin.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 9- (Excellent+): Badge shows light surface wear nearly all the nickel-plating remains intact.
