ARTIFACT: Rare 1920's early 1930's French Army of the Air badge for "heiress" unit to WWI Caudron 53. 12th Sq. 33rd RAO/RAM or 2nd Sq. Recon Group Bouy. In the early 1930s, Squadron 53 was the 2nd squadron of the Group Bouy (2eme Escadrille GR Bouy). This pennant insignia was named "Fanion".

VINTAGE: Circa 1920's - early 1930's.

SIZE: Approximately 7/8" in height and 1-9/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with C catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a French militaria collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBHEX09 LX2/11 SLFGEX1/15 SFGEX3/16

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The pin shows some very small spots of light wear on its reverse only.
