Rare 1900's - 1910's Los Angeles County Deputy Pound Master Badge in Exceptional Condition

Rare 1900's - 1910's Los Angeles County Pound Master badge. The Animal Control rare titled badge is in exceptional condition. The entire badge is made with lovely detail, an eagle sits atop the badge with head bowed and wings spread. The center shows a stylized plate with the number "5" and surrounding scrolls or banners that read: "L. A. COUNTY DEPUTY" and along the base of the badge it reads: "POUND MASTER" in blackened detail.

Circa 1900's - 1910's.

Approximately 2-1/2in height x 1-7/8" in width.

Stamped nickel plated nickel, black paint.

Horizontal pin with 'C' type catch.

8+ (Excellent): The badge shows minor wear, a scratch across the center near the number five, nearly all the nickel plated and black painted details remain intact, overall excellent condition.
