This is a circa 1910s Los Angeles County (California) Special Deputy Sheriff badge. This eagle-topped badge has a pebbly textured background and is numbered MZ17 on front.
VINTAGE:Circa 1910s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/2" in height and 1-15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass, brass pin.
ATTACHMENT:Swiveling vertical safety-style pin with saddle.
MARKINGS:MZ17 on front.

CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-): The badge has some light to medium wear and some spots of oxidation on the reverse only.
