ARTIFACT:

This is a rare 1890s New Bedford, Massachusetts Police badge in an octagon shape with beautiful scroll work in the center.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1890s.

SIZE:

About 2-1/4" in width by 2-1/4" in height.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel-plated brass with black painted lettering.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical one-piece safety-style pin with a "C" catch.

MARKINGS:

None.

CONDITION:
