Pre-WWII DLV (Deutsches Luft Verband) Pilot Hat Badge

This is a nicely made hat badge for a pilot of the Deutsches Luft Verband, the Civil Aviation branch of the Nazi Party. This badge was made in the Pre-WWII years when the DLV was secretly training pilots for the soon-to-emerge Luftwaffe.

Circa mid-1930s.

About 2-7/8" in width by 1-1/4" in height.

Silver plated brass with translucent red and opaque black enameling.

Two heavy brass wires to be pushed through a cap and bent over.
