This is a great pair of old bronze oar stays from a life boat. These could possibly have been employed by the United States Life Saving Service. They have a simple, nice rounded U shape. One seems to have light thread marks on its post. These are sold as a pair only.
VINTAGE:Circa 1900.
SIZE:Approximately 7-3/4" in height and 4-3/8" in width and 1" in thickness (each).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Bronze.
ATTACHMENT:Hole in bracket.
MARKINGS:None.
