This is a great pair of circa 1918 cufflinks bearing the Scottish national motto. A belt reading NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSIT (no one attacks me with impunity) encircles a standing lion on each link. The end of each link also has a shield with a lion which goes through the buttonhole.
VINTAGE:Circa 1918.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 15/16" in width and 11/16" deep (each).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver-plated nickel.
ATTACHMENT:Link attachment.
MARKINGS:Hard to read marks (please see photo above).

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The links have some small areas of light to medium wear and tarnish.
