ARTIFACT: This is a German Colonial Troops novelty cufflink or ash tray from circa 1900. The scene on the tray is one of a German officer resting on the ground form the heat while native African troops perform chores and stand at the ready. The tray is rectangular with all corners curving slightly upward.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900.

SIZE: Approximately 4" in height and in 5-3/8" width and 1" in depth.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: China.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: KPM, R mark and 5280 V.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an Imperial German collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. 100CON-JMB-MBJJX11 LDFEX7/11 RETCON3/13

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The tray shows light wear except for where the gilt trim details are mostly worn away, and there is one small chip at the upper right-hand corner.
