Great old 1890's Special Police badge by gun and bicycle manufacturers Iver Johnson of Boston. The oval shaped badge features stamped lettering which read"SPECIAL POLICE" with stamped and blackened embellishments. The reverse shows a period re-soldering of the pin and the makers mark read"IVER JOHNSON CO. BOSTON".

Nickel plated brass.

Horizontal pin with ÔC' catch.
