ARTIFACT: This is a Great Old 1890's Special Police Badge by Gun & Bicycle Manufacturer Iver Johnson Co. of Boston. The oval shaped badge features stamped lettering which read"SPECIAL POLICE" with stamped and blackened embellishments. The reverse shows a period re-soldering of the pin and the makers mark read"IVER JOHNSON CO. BOSTON".


VINTAGE: Circa 1890's.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/4" in width x 1-1/2" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel plated nickel.

ATTACHMENT: One-piece Horizontal pin with open 'C' catch.

MARKINGS: IVER JOHNSON CO. BOSTON

CONDITION: 7- (Fine+ ): The badge shows minor to moderate wear, most of the paint in the lettering and embellishments is gone, otherwise badge is fine condition.
