This is a nice Imperial Bavarian veteran's ribbon that reads VET. & KRIEG. VER. on one end and UNTERHACHING on the other. The pin part, which reads BAYER KRIEGERBUND 1874, is a shield showing the Kaiser's cross at top and a lion at rest.
VINTAGE:Circa late Imperial period.
SIZE:About 1-1/8" in width by 3-15/16" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver-plated nickel and silk ribbon.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-type pin with a "C" catch and saddle.
MARKINGS:DESCHLER & SOHN MUNCHEN-9.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): Ribbon shows light to medium wear and moderately heavy tarnishing.
