This is an Imperial Bavarian veterans ribbon that reads VET. & KRIEG. VER. on one end and ATTENKIRCHEN on the other. The pin part, which reads BAYER KRIEGERBUND 1874, is a shield showing the Kaiser's cross at top and a lion at rest.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 3-7/8" in height (including ribbon) and 1-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver-plated nickel and silk ribbon.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-type pin with saddle.
MARKINGS:DESCHLER & SOHN M??NCHEN-9.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The ribbon has light to medium tarnish and wear and a spot of slight discoloration on the silk.
