ARTIFACT:
This is a nice circa 1900's - 1910's Phillips Exeter Academy soup bowl made by Cauldron Hotel China Co. On the rim of the bowl is a wonderful floral pattern and at the top is the Phillips Exeter Academy crest. In the middle of the bowl is a small oval scene, with Latin words for "Nov. Ban 1781 Stamped Phillips Exeter Academy" around the oval, and the words "Xapiti Oeot (Grace Atheists)" and "Finis Origine Pendet (The end depends upon the beginning)" in the oval
VINTAGE:
Circa 1900's - 1910's.
SIZE:
Approximately 9" in diameter and 1-1/2" in depth.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Stamped and Glazed Porcelain.
