Nice 1930s or 1940s sterling silver lapel pin for the Quiet Birdmen, a secret society for male aviators.
The club was founded in 1921 in New York City by a handful of World War I veteran pilots.
The pin is enameled in blue and reads QB at its center. It has an unknown diamond-shaped maker mark on reverse.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1930's - 1940's
SIZE:Approximately 1/4" in height and 1" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Enameled sterling silver.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing.
MARKINGS:"STERLING" and unknown diamond-shaped maker mark.
