This is a circa 1930s sterling silver lapel pin for the Quiet Birdmen, a secret society for male aviators. The club was founded in 1921 in New York City by a handful of World War I veteran pilots. The pin is enameled in blue and reads QB at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1/4" in height and 15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing.
MARKINGS:STERLING, S maker mark.
