ARTIFACT:
This is a 1930s-1940s sterling silver lapel pin in the shape of a Douglas DC-3 aircraft. The Douglas was produced from 1936 through 1942 and again in 1950. The pin is a view of the aircraft obliquely form its side.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1930s-1940s.
SIZE:
Approximately 5/8" in height and 7/8" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Sterling silver with painted details.
ATTACHMENT:
Horizontal pin with C catch.
MARKINGS:
STERLING.
