Description
This is a great World War II American Red Cross nurse musette bag repurposed from an old Abercrombie & Fitch fishing pouch. The nurse's name is stenciled on both the flap and the reverse: L. Sheriff. The long strap is adjustable and there are interior pockets as well as a snap closure flap pocket on reverse, and side pouch pockets. The bottom is reinforced in leather.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 12-1/2" in height and 15-1/2" in width and 5-1/2" in depth.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Cotton canvas, leather, nickel-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Straps with buckles, snaps.
MARKINGS:L. Sheriff on flap; L. M. Sheriff A.R.C. 50365 on reverse.

CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-): The bag shows some areas of moderate cosmetic wear and has some minor spots of oxidation that does not affect its utility.
