ARTIFACT:

This is a named 1930s New York State Commission of Corrections commissioner badge. The badge reads COMMISSIONER N.Y. STATE COMMISSION OF CORRECTION HENRY FRIED and shows the State of New York seal at center.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s.

SIZE:

2-3/16" height and 1-11/16" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-filled with blue enamel and painted letters.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with drop-in swivel locking catch.

MARKINGS:

1/15 10K GF.
