ARTIFACT:
This is a grouping containing a badge and a presentation flag for Major Martin James Burke, a Governor's Office Commissioner and New York State Police Major. The flag was presented to Major Burke by New York's 52nd governor, Mario Cuomo. The badge is topped by an eagle and four stars and its blue enamel center shows the state of New York coat of arms. The presentation flag depicts the same scene on a field of blue and is framed.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1983-1994.
SIZE:
Badge: 2-1/2" height by 2-1/4" width; framed flag: 24' height by 23-1/2" width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Badge: rhodium-plated brass with leather case; flag: printed cloth in glass and wooden frame.

Vertical pin with swivel drop-in catch.
