This is a beautiful named circa 1920s badge from the Perth Amboy (New Jersey) Fire Department. It is a life member (retiree) badge from George B. McClellan Engine Company 3, and is named to James Mortensen on the reverse. It is in 14 karat gold.
VINTAGE:Circa 1920s.
SIZE:Approximately 15/16" in height and 13/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:14 karat gold, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:JAMES MORTENSEN 14K.
