ARTIFACT: Nice 1890's Franklin, New Jersey Fire Department Badge. The badge features a raised letter 'A' in the center (perhaps for Ambulance?) and surrounding it reads: "FRANKLIN FIRE DEPT.", the base of the base shows the number "57". An eagle sits perched on the top of the badge, overall nicely detailed design. The badge came along with a circa 1897 Franklin, New Jersey Annual Fire Parade Ribbon (see link below).

VINTAGE: Circa 1890's

SIZE: Approximately 2 ??" x 1 ??"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel and paint

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with 'C' catch

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a fire and rescue collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VEM14 LAFEX6/15

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): Badge shows moderate to heavy wear and oxidation, mostly to reverse and much of the plating and painted details remain intact, overall very fine condition.
