The sword has a straight, single-edged blade, a hooked quillion, and its serial number matches that of the scabbard (L4844). The scabbard is of darkened steel with a spherical finial. The scratched out part above the serial number would have been the Argentinian crest.

VINTAGE: Circa 1890s.

SIZE: Overall: approximately 20-1/2" in length and 3-3/4" in width; blade only: approximately 15-3/4" in length and 1" in width; scabbard only: 16-1/2" in length and 1-5/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Steel, aluminum hilt; scabbard: steel.

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The blade is in very good shape; there are areas of rust to the aluminum hilt and on the guard, as well as small spots of wear and oxidation on the scabbard.
