ARTIFACT:
1941 German K-98 Mauser Bayonet with Czechoslovakian Frog dated 1937. Possibly used by Czech Army or Police. Scabbard was painted black during period of use. The pommel features stamped markings and numbers ??? see photo. The handle is steel and black Bakelite with a small guard. The blade shows markings on either side near the underside of the guard, "J. Sch" and "2607b". The black painted sheath also shows the number "2607b" ??? see photo. The dark brown leather frog shows: "1937 276 P46" on the reverse.

Blued steel blade and frame, Painted steel scabbard, leather frog, Bakelite grips.
ATTACHMENT:
Frog has loop for belt attachment and hole to secure sheath.

CONDITION:
7+ (Very Fine+): Blade, handle, sheath, and frog all show moderate wear, the blade is in fine condition with a few surface blemishes. Near the tip of the blade there are light sharpening or file marks. Nearly all the painted details remain on sheath and the leather frog shows separation of the threads near the area of the guard, the leather is in fine condition.
