Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a circa early World War II tropical bayonet frog for the K-98 (Karabiner 98 Kurz). The K-98 became a standard issue weapon for the Wehrmacht in 193It was the Army's most widely used rifle through the end of the war. The frog has a webbed strap.

VINTAGE:

Circa early World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 8-5/8" in height and 2-3/8" in width and 1-3/8" in depth.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Cotton.

ATTACHMENT:

Hole for bayonet attachment, loop for belt, "snap".

MARKINGS:

None.
