This is a circa early World War II tropical bayonet frog for the K-98 (Karabiner 98 Kurz). The K-98 became a standard issue weapon for the Wehrmacht in 193It was the Army's most widely used rifle through the end of the war. The frog has a webbed strap.
VINTAGE:Circa early World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 8-5/8" in height and 2-3/8" in width and 1-3/8" in depth.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Cotton.
ATTACHMENT:Hole for bayonet attachment, loop for belt, "snap".
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-): The frog has some light to medium wear and some spots of oxidation.
