This is a circa World War I Canadian Expeditionary Forces (CEF) 5th Mounted Rifles overseas battalion hat badge. The badge is a maple leaf with a small beaver sitting on the lower curve of a number 5.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 1-11/16" in height and 1-5/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Two loops.
MARKINGS:None.
