This is a 117th Battalion Canadian Expeditionary Forces cap badge, a unit recruited from Quebec. The badge is a detailed wreath of maple leaves with a royal crown at top and a beaver at bottom. The badge reads EASTERN TOWNSHIPS 117 CANADA OVERSEAS BATTALION CEF.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:2-3/16" height and 1-5/8" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Brass.
ATTACHMENT:Two bent-over loops for attachment.
