Description

ARTIFACT:

Minty, in box, WWII Iron Cross 1st Class by Zimmerman (6) with most of the original outer carton intact. The matte black finish on the Iron core of the cross is flawless. The center shows a swastika and below the year: "1939" in raised detail. The reverse shows "6." on the pin and the findings are in remarkable condition. The case shows minor wear, the silk inside the lid of the case shows the impression of the cross which has been in the case for over 70 years now! The outer carton reads: "EISERNES KREUZ I. KLASSE 1939 NUR VOM EMPFÄNGER ZU ÖFFNEN", "FRITZ ZIMMERMAN ORDENFABRIK STUTTGART".

CONDITION:

10- (Near Mint): The Cross shows little to no wear, slight tarnish, the case shows minor wear, the carton is missing the top flap, overall minty condition.
