Description
Just a stunning frosty example of an early WWII Nazi German 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class, made even more striking by being in its original case of issue. The matte black finish on the Iron core of the cross is flawless. The frame and reverse have the slightest speckling of patina at the edges. The silk inside the lid of the case shows the deep impression of the cross which has been in the case for over 70 years now! The case shows some slight wear at the edges, but is still in excellent condition, and the printed cross on the cover is bold and clear. Surprisingly unhallmarked, just like the Spange that came with it, still an excellent example of an early WWII Eisernen Kreuz Klass.
