This is a mint 1930 Citizens' Military Training Corps (CMTC) shooting medal from Fort Adams, in Newport, Rhode Island. The medal is by Dieges & Clust, and is engraved on reverse with the words R.B.R. BASIC RIFLE MATCH 1930.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930.
SIZE:Approximately 3-1/8" in height and 1-5/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Copper-plated brass/bronze, silk ribbon.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with C catch on bar, suspension ring.
MARKINGS:DIEGES & CLUST and maker's mark on medal; WHITEHEAD & HOAG PAT. APPL'D FOR on bar.

CONDITION:9- (Excellent+): The medal is minty with some very small spots of oxidation.
