Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a late World War II United States Navy VT-36 jacket patch featuring Bugs Bunny. This carrier-based squadron was established on 15 May 1944 at NAS San Diego and disestablished on 28 January 194The insignia was approved on 23 August 1944, and shows Bugs carefully navigating while holding a Bomb in his hands and a carrot in his teeth.

VINTAGE:

Circa late World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 5" in diameter (Bugs' ears jut slightly out past edge).

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Twill embroidered in silk/cotton threads with mesh backing.

ATTACHMENT:

To be sewn onto Flight Clothing.

MARKINGS:

VT-36 BURNS.
