ARTIFACT: This is a great World War II United States Navy VT-5 "Torpcats" jacket patch. The squadron served aboard the USS Yorktown CV-14 from April 1943 through April 1944 and on the USS Franklin CV-13 in February and March 1945. The patch is a deep red shows a maniacal cat riding a missile and throttling some unfortunate creature.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 4-1/16" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Twill embroidered in silk/cotton threads with a mesh backing.

ATTACHMENT: N/A.

MARKINGS: BURNS written on reverse.

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The patch shows some light wear only.
