ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II United States Navy VT-7 jacket patch. The squadron served aboard the USS Hancock CV-1The patch is a pale green pentagon edged in gold with an upturned golden horseshoe and a missile at its center.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 3-3/4" in height and 3-7/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Twill embroidered in silk/cotton threads with mesh backing.

MARKINGS:

USN BURNS written on reverse.

ITEM NOTES:

8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The patch shows some light wear along its edge and minor fading.
