ARTIFACT: This is a very rare World War II US made jacket patch for the United States Navy Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron 23 MTB RON 23, a unit which saw action in the South Pacific and Southwest Pacific. The patch shows Bugs Bunny riding a Torpedo over the ocean and reads 23. PT Boat Patrol Torpedo.


The Squadron was commissioned 28 June 1943, and decommissioned 26 November 1945.
The Squadron's PT Boats, #'s 241-244, & 277-288 saw action in the South Pacific and Southwest Pacific.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 3-7/8" diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered patch in multi-colored cotton / silk threads.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto a Deck Jacket.

MARKINGS: N/A.

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): Patch shows very little wear and has great coloring.
