Late WWII US Army Air Forces 1st Air Force Patch-Type DI

This is a circa late World War II patch-type distinctive insignia for the United States Army Air Forces 1st Air Force. The insignia is a winged star with a number one above.

Circa late World War II.

Approximately 7/8" in diameter.

Gilt brass, enamel.

Vertical pin with come-under locking catch.
