Late WWII US Army Air Forces 11th Air Force Patch-Type DI

This is a circa late World War II patch-type distinctive insignia for the United States Army Air Forces 11th Air Force. The insignia is a number 11 with a shooting star below.

Circa late World War II.

Approximately 15/16" in height and 7/8" in width.

Gilt brass, enamel.

Vertical pin with come-under locking catch.
